About Me

I’m Gloria J. Fluker. Let’s see, am I a “Boomer? Yes, I experienced the Kennedy assassination. I didn’t attend the Woodstock concert but I remember the flurry of stories that emerged about the “Hippies”. Some of them drove thousands of miles in their VW buses to part-take in the event. Did I just lump myself in with people who have lived different lives in a different time? Well, that's my prerogative! However, I am pleased to announce that I am a work in progress- Still hunting.

I raised, ok my ex and I raised one very creative, strong- willed, expressive, caring man. I have two smooch juicy grandchildren who are the fruitolution of my life. I am captivated by a sense of mystery- A good book, yep, but I’m talking about the natural world that is full of mysteries. That sense of wonder in nature that is always inspiring. As I appeal to my sense of curiosity, I focus on all the sensory experiences around me. What do I hear? A story to be told. I joyfully put the computer keys to work. It’s like sticking your hands in the soil to see how it feels. A poem materializes like grass waving in the breeze.

Tenacity is in my bloodline so I face the unpleasant jolts in life with confidence and hearty laughter!
